afullmarginIt's Winter Break! And I have time and energy to write plus the desire to play in many fandoms. This means... Drabble drive! It's easy!

Step 2: I write for you. Typically a drabble. May or may not be wintery fluff (it probably will be).

The question is why the kid trusts him at all, a man with blood on his hands that the kid can’t know.
Gus: Candy Drunk
Date: 2013-02-10 06:12 pm (UTC)Come afternoon he’s worked through the Skittles in his desk and cuts the top off three Pixie Sticks to spill tangy blue and pink powder straight from the tubes onto his tongue – the candy equivalent of vodka shooters.
As the sugar melts, so sweet and perfect on his tongue – the lingering taste clinging well after the majority has dissolved – he’s left with a great idea. Sugar infused vodka with a candy heart at the bottom of the glass.
Be mine.

Only this time, when Shawn brushes good-morning kisses against his ear he knows it’s not the misguided childish affection.

“Love you,” he grins.

Shawn/Gus/Juliet Happy-Verse: Snowmen Double Drabble
Date: 2013-02-10 06:41 pm (UTC)They’ll remember their first vacation together; Juliet eight month’s pregnant in the snow building a snowfamily – Snowman Gus with brown M&M eyes and licorice mouth, Snowman Shawn with perfectly sculpted hair and an old Froot Loops t-shirt, Snowwoman Jules with a little snowbaby wrapped in a green blanket she knitted herself while on maternity leave. Shawn and Gus even stop their snowball fight just to take pictures.
Later on, they’ll curl up under the covers of the rental cabin’s huge bed with Juliet in the middle, gently massaging her – touching and kissing until all three are spent and fall asleep wound together in a clutch of skin, blankets and love.
After their baby comes, the won’t tell it all about the labor scare at four in the morning and Juliet sobbing big, ugly tears when Shawn backs the SUV into their snow-family or Gus holding her hand as Shawn paces the hallways of the silent medical center until they’re told they should cut the vacation short. They’ll just break out the pictures of them red-faced and blissful.

"Human Robots are In... Human" (Aquabats, gen)

“My head hurts…” the Bat Commander whines, “I need a hug.”
Ricky Fitness dry-heaves and shudders; “Hold me, Jimmy… in your unfeeling embrace.”
Crying into his wrinkled pajama sleeve, Crash doesn’t look very big at all when he asks; “Hugs?”
One by one, gathers them in front of the television like chicks in the nest with warm blankets and cool compresses, chicken soup from the can and little bottles of ginger ale and their favorite cartoons. One by one, they get their special hugs that only their robot can give and when they’re all tuckered out on the floor, dozing off the sniffles, the biggest little Aquabat nuzzles against his unfeeling robot skin and murmurs sleepily; “I love you, robot Jimmy.”
He is warm.

Slowly, a blond eyebrow arches and he turns a pulled look toward her.
“All the awkward embraces, the way you take care of him and pack him lunches! The way he looks at you like there’s nobody else in the room…”
“What…” he shakes his head, licking away a stray smudge of chocolate from the devoured packet of digestives that he’d found in the cupboard. “What are you talking about?”
“The longing puppy-dog frown when you forget things…”
“Daisy, am I in this conversation?”
“You… you…” she giggles loudly, giving him an awkward, stoned wink. “You…”
Tim gulps loudly.
She flops back down on the couch and says; “How could I have been so stupid? So blind? Of course, it all makes so much bloody sense…”
“You’re not stupid… it was just a… I dunno… we don’t do it all the time.”
“You do! You lying bastard, you were doing it just last week when I came in your room! You’ve been eating Mike’s Hobnobs.”
The other eyebrow rises; “Is that some sort of obscure euphemism?”
Her grin spreads and she points at the empty wrapper. “Better buy more.
“Right. Of course. More biscuits.”
She giggles again, lying back on the sofa. “I’ll keep my lips sealed about it. Our secret.”
“You do that.” Tim shakes his head, flushing pink. “For a second there I thought you were going to say we’re lovers.”
“Don’t be stupid, Tim. Everyone knows that.”

He nods, slowly, leaning in until their lips touch. “I know.”
