Michael’s spent his whole life learning not to trust; well before it became his career he was taught that people lie, cheat, steal, and let you down.
But this is different, this kid… a kid living a man’s life and doing a damn good job of it. He tells himself that it’s because he wants to help him, but the truth is he sees himself in William’s eyes. And if he can’t trust himself, he can’t trust anyone.
The question is why the kid trusts him at all, a man with blood on his hands that the kid can’t know.
