This one doesn't surprise me, I wrote it back in early 2011 as one of my first pieces in the fandom when the kink meme was obsessed with jam. I still can't believe how many hits it has - I've *never* had a piece get this much attention and I'm pretty sure it's making the rounds as bad!fic.

Okay, it essentially proves what I set out to prove that this is in my top ten. I wrote this because I was pissed off that the vast majority of Psych slash is Carlton/Shawn which makes *no fucking sense* to me. So, I figured the only way I could make it work and keep them in character was if they were both very drunk and Shawn used it to play out his daddy issues. Shockingly, nobody seems to have gotten that this was written as a big "I don't get you" to Shassie shippers and their freaky true-love tropes. So... yeah, it's popularity compared to my Shawn/Gus (none of which made the top ten, btw)? Point proven, people read it just because it's Shassie.
