З 56 померлих за той рік 37 мали вік до 5 років (як людина, що перечитала усі записи про смерть можу сказати, що переважна більшість мала 0-2 роки, + кілька трирічних).
Найпоширеніші причини дитячої смертності за 1872 рік:

Родом з дитинства.Хто пам"ятає? Скільки нас тут?
«Добрий вечір вам, малятка, любі хлопчики й дівчатка…» Так з телеекранів звертався до української малечі загальний улюбленець Дід Панас у передачі «На добраніч, діти».
Для покоління дітей 60-80-х років минулого століття він став справжньою легендою.
Народився Петро у Тальному на Черкащині. Походив з єврейської родини. У роки Другої світової разом з родиною потрапив до фільтраційного табору. Рідні загинули, а Петрові вдалося вирватися і змінити прізвище на Векскляров.
Театром Петро захопився в юності. Відвідував місцевий драмгурток. Тут його й побачили актори, що приїхали на гастролі з Черкас. Так у 1932р. Вескляров став актором Черкаського робітничо-селянського театру.
На самісінькому початку війни Петра мобілізували й скерували на службу до військового театру Південно-Західного фронту. Потрапив у оточення, опинився у таборі для військовополонених, за першої нагоди втік. Повернувся до Києва, що на той час був окупований німцями. Приховавши походження, знайшов роботу на залізниці й одразу створив театральний гурток.
По війні П.Весклярова призначають до Волинського українського музично-драматичного театру ім. Т.Шевченка. Тут актор служив до 1959р., зігравши багато цікавих ролей. Серед них – Микола Задорожній («Украдене щастя» І.Франка), Командор («Камінний господар» Лесі Українки), , Городничий («Ревізор» М.Гоголя)…
Працюючи в Луцьку, отримав запрошення зніматися в кіно. Переїхав до Києва. Виявив себе блискучим актором другого плану. Дядько Лев у «Лісовій пісні», дід Петрія у стрічці «Олекса Довбуш», пан Ректор («Вій»), батько Будулая («Циган»)…
Остання роль Весклярова в кіно – селянин у фільмі «Забудьте слово «смерть»», знятому на Одеській кіностудії в 1979р. На той час Петро Юхимович був уже широко відомий як Дідусь Панас із телевізора. Що, до речі, мало не тільки позитивний, а й негативний бік: Весклярова перестали запрошувати зніматися в кіно. Адже яку б роль йому не запропонували, народ бачив у акторові винятково «Дідуся Панаса».
Та це, мабуть, не головна причина, з якої Петрові Весклярову не пропонували головні ролі, й узагалі ролі на «головних» кіностудіях. Причина — майже фантастична. В СРСР, державі тотальної русифікації, актор Вескляров… практично не говорив російською мовою. Завжди – лише українською. На «мовні» питання відповідав жартома: «Я російську вивчити не можу»… У фільмах, де Вескляров усе ж знімався, його персонажів озвучували інші актори.
Колеги згадують Петра Юхимовича як людину дуже товариську, з чудовим почуттям гумору, жартівника й прекрасного оповідача.
Вже дорослі люди з ніжністю згадують оте його: «Спи, мій маленький, цить, і зайчик сіренький спить…»
Людина, яка все своє життя присвятила тому, аби покоління за поколінням дітей в Україні чули українську мову, слухали українські казки, долучалися України й ставали українцями. Людина, яка всім своїм життям довела, що й один вояк у полі - все одно вояк і все одно може сподіватися на перемогу. Навіть, якщо всі навкруги вважають українську "сельскім говором", якщо зневажають її та не розмовляють нею - він все одно виховує мільйони дітей таким чином, що вони люблять та розуміють українську.
Як згадували його колеги, коли одного разу в ефірі він закашляв, то на телебачення прийшло кілька вантажівок з листами-порадами, різними травами, ліками з усіх куточків України.
"Він приходив у вишиванках і йшов, не перевдягаючись. І це були всі його особисті вишиванки, не з костюмерної. Він був вірним українській культурі і мові, в житті говорив українською, і це відчувалось крізь екран.", - згадувала Тамара Стратієнко, народна артистка України.
Низький уклін та вічна шана. За все. За чудові казки, за милозвучність мови, за серпасті вуса та добру посмішку. Світлий та приязний, він став дідусем для всіх. У кожної української дитини був дідусь Панас! Світла пам’ять !

Reccer's Notes: I recently fell hard into the Batman fanfic space, and this story bowled me right over. It takes Jason's canon resurrection (and the bizarre canon explanation for it), then posits a slow growth of powers from there -- from a recurring inability to stay dead, through the ability to skip universes, and beyond. All the canon reboots become a part of the story, and the pairing is a hilarious portrait of two guys being oblivious. Each chapter's notes contain extensive canon citations, which adds another level of awesomeness. Great fun and very affecting.
[Edited to add] Content note: The starting author notes include, "I will now put a blanket trigger warning for everything that happens in DC canon." That should be taken very seriously; the cited DC canon gets dark, and many abusive canon events are included in this story.

Yuletide reveal and home again
Jan. 3rd, 2026 08:38 pmceitfiannaFor Yuletide, I wrote an Old Kingdom fic called Learning the Shelves about Lirael spending time with her new family. My giftee really liked it and I was reminded how much I like writing in that world.
I'm home after a not too bad drive home made better for being today since I had asked for Friday off and hadn't realized it. So it felt like a free day off. Now I have tomorrow to do more things to get ready for work. I have lots of thoughts about this coming year that I'm going to write up when I'm not still recovering from a long drive.
Fun news, I bought a new work/travel mug and have started putting stickers on it, vinyl ones this time. So far I have a Six of Crows' Crow Club one, one that says 'ban the fascists not books' with an elegant illustration and a lovely one of Rainbow Brite. Next will be one of my many Star Wars' ones and possibly a lovely Mighty Nein one that I have.

Fun news, I bought a new work/travel mug and have started putting stickers on it, vinyl ones this time. So far I have a Six of Crows' Crow Club one, one that says 'ban the fascists not books' with an elegant illustration and a lovely one of Rainbow Brite. Next will be one of my many Star Wars' ones and possibly a lovely Mighty Nein one that I have.

What you need to know:
* You must be able to post on LiveJournal and Dreamwidth
* If you don’t have an account on one of those platforms, just let me know which one and I’ll post on your behalf.
* Guest hosting is low-pressure. Just use the hosting template and insert your theme and three prompts to get us started.
* You don’t need prior hosting experience, just enthusiasm and reliability.

Now, for today's theme. Hurt/Comfort. When you hurt them, make sure to comfort them too.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
