Darkest Before the Light

He'd only just heard of their arrival as dusk fell, but Gilmore took his time returning to the empty bottles of potions he'd been trying to make in an effort to ease the storm that had passed and the new one still looming dark on the horizon. His magic still failed him, unable to concentrate in his rage and sorrow, but he had his mind still.

In the night, he found Vax'ildan's room, aware of the rumors of their grief. A bed untouched, a fresh lamp wick lit. He waited, but rest nor his companion came that night in Whitestone.
